COSTS

 

The last thing anyone likes to talk about is cost, but it's a fact of life that there are costs to all things.  If you're like most operations, you don't mind costs if the value received is greater.  We belief that it=s better to lose a sale than to have a dissatisfied customer; therefore, we make every effort to make sure a potential customer is convinced the value of PREDICT far exceeds its cost.

 

Free Multiple Regression Analysis

 

As discussed previously, the first step in determining if PREDICT will be a value to your operation is to perform a multiple regression analysis of the foundry's chemistries and tensile properties.  You send us your data (electronic is preferred, but we'll even do hard copy).  We perform the analysis and then send you a report indicating whether we believe PREDICT can help your operation. 

 

Contrary to what you may think, we do not recommend that PREDICT will be a value to all operations.  We can provide you the names of people whom we have told that PREDICT wouldn't work for them.  If we don't think it will work for you, the report will include any insights into why we don=t think it will work that we were able to gain through the analysis.

 

THIS IS DONE AT NO COST TO YOU.

 

Free Six-month Trial

 

If in our report we indicate that we believe PREDICT will be beneficial, and you agree, we will prepare a version of PREDICT specifically for your operation.  We let you run that program for six months without any charge.  After five months of running the program, you'll get a warning that it's time to make a decision, and if you haven't made a decision after six months, the program will stop running.

 

If after the six-month trial you decide that the program doesn't provide you with a value greater than its cost, you quit using it, and there's been no cash outlay from your operation.

 

It's Worth It

 

If you decide that you=re getting more value from the program than its cost of $3000, you let us know, and we will fix the program so that it will keep running for you.  That's all there is to it!  There's no maintenance fees or annual license fees.  All you have to do is just keep running the program.

 

Additional Alloys


If you find that the value is great enough to warrant the cost of the initial grade of iron, we hope that you will want us to add other of your alloys to the program.  We'll still perform the initial multiple regression analysis to determine whether PREDICT will be beneficial for that alloy at no cost to your operation.  Each additional alloy will cost $3000.

 

Maintenance

 

If there's a change in your operation and the difference between actual and predicted tensile values becomes very large, you may want to have the regression analysis rerun and the program modified to the new results.  A nominal, negotiated fee will be charged for such work.

 

If you change your practice to the point where you are using different elements to control your tensile strength, we must consider that as a completely new alloy.  (Ex. If you have been using chromium to add strength and decide to switch to copper, that's a new alloy.)
